Margy’s Jams was the creation of Margaret Dehiln who made artisan jams at home to sell at local farmer’s markets. She drew crowds and expanded into canned goods as well as desserts. Attracting the attention of Whole Foods and local luxury grocers, she needed a new identity that transformed her brand.
The old labels were white with a clip art collection of fruit and weak font choice. When I talked to Margy, she said the biggest selling tool was her customers seeing chunks of fruit and vegetables in her jars. I decided to make that the focus of the brand by creating transparent labels having an elegant mark referential to her start at farmer’s markets with a collage font and traditional vines.
